Rooted in Ocala. Driven by justice.
Ready to serve.

Antione Fields is a lifelong Floridian, organizer, and pro-democracy advocate running for State Representative in House District 21 to deliver practical, accountable leadership for working families.
Raised between Jacksonville and Ocala, Antione began his public service career while attending the University of Central Florida, working in the Florida Legislature and gaining firsthand insight into how decisions made in Tallahassee affect communities back home.
He would then go on to work as an organizer and campaign manager before returning to the Legislature, where he worked directly on policy development and constituent services, contributing to the criminal justice reform package passed in 2021 and helping families navigate Florida’s broken unemployment system during the COVID-19 pandemic — learning firsthand how effective government can and must improve people’s lives.
Antione later led digital strategy at MissionWired, supporting progressive candidates and causes across the country before joining Common Cause, the nonpartisan democracy organization dedicated to defending voting rights, exposing corruption, and reducing the influence of big money in politics.
Now, Antione is running for State Representative to bring bold, people-first leadership to House District 21 — leadership that understands how government works and is ready to deliver results from day one.

What shaped my fight for justice
What shaped my fight for justice
I was raised by a single mom who worked full-time and still had to rely on food stamps to make ends meet. We lived with my grandparents in Jacksonville because housing was too expensive, and I learned early on that you take care of your people because no one else is coming to do it for you.
Later, when my mom met my stepdad, Ocala became home too — and the place I spent so much of my childhood growing up.
I’ll never forget the day George Zimmerman walked free after killing Trayvon Martin, and how powerless it made me and so many others feel.
That moment changed how I saw Florida, justice, and whose lives our system is built to protect.
That’s what pushed me to get involved. It’s why I learned how power works. And it’s why I’ve spent my career taking on corruption, fighting for accountability, and standing up for working people.

Local campaigns, organizing, and real wins for Florida communities
Local campaigns, organizing, and real wins for Florida communities
While attending the University of Central Florida, I began working in local and state politics — first as an intern in the Florida Legislature, where I saw how decisions made in Tallahassee ripple back into people’s lives at home.
I went on to work on campaigns across Central Florida and later managed a Florida House race. Those experiences taught me how to organize, how to listen, and how to build coalitions rooted in trust and shared purpose.
Most importantly, they showed me that real progress starts with meeting people where they are and earning their confidence.

Delivering results in the Florida Legislature

I later served as a Legislative Assistant in the Florida House, where I saw firsthand how challenging it can be to turn good ideas into real policy — and how important persistence, preparation, and collaboration are to getting results.
In the wake of the George Floyd protests, I worked on the criminal justice reform package passed in 2021, pushing for accountability and fairness in a system that too often fails our communities.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I also helped constituents navigate Florida’s broken unemployment system, working directly with families who were struggling to get the help they deserved. Watching that system fail people in real time reinforced a simple truth: when government doesn’t work, everyday people pay the price.

Taking on big money, protecting voting rights, and fighting corruption
After my time in the Legislature, I worked as a digital strategist helping progressive candidates and causes raise the resources they needed to win.
Most recently, I’ve served as a senior leader at Common Cause, a national nonprofit focused on protecting voting rights, fighting corruption, and reducing the influence of big money in politics.
Working nationwide on democracy reform has shown me that we don’t have to wait on Washington to act. State leaders can limit federal harm and deliver real solutions — and I’m ready to bring that approach home to Florida.
This work matters to me because I believe democracy works best when it’s accountable, transparent, and accessible to everyone — not just those with wealth or power.
