Criminal Justice Reform
Criminal Justice Reform
Florida’s justice system too often traps people in cycles of punishment instead of helping them rebuild their lives.
We’ve made progress in recent years, including reforms passed after the George Floyd protests, but there’s still work to do.
People deserve accountability and safety — but they also deserve second chances and systems focused on rehabilitation.
I’ve worked on criminal justice reform inside the Legislature, and I’ve seen how difficult but necessary these changes are.
I’ll fight to:
Expand Florida’s Second Look law to allow sentence review
Reward rehabilitation and good behavior through gain-time reforms
Invest in reentry, education, and job training programs
Continue police accountability and transparency reforms
Clear old marijuana possession records
